Croissants

Post by artattak »

In his free time, he prepares objects for visualizations.

Croissants came out today.
Gently used SSS on ceramics. And ready.

Enjoy your meal.

Very nice render. Materials are used from a set of LW 2015 native materials?

It's a mixture of reflection and bump maps.
Very simple settings.
Take it easy.

Thank you for the clarification. I wanted to know exactly about the sss shader. I thought it was based on the LW material, it turned out that this is the K3 shader.

BTW Limiter recurse Node for reflection....no need use this right now 8)
Latest K3 is so fast that it doesn't mater for engine 5. 20 or 40 recurse reflection!
Watch my scene "Depp recurse tester"
Simply you can add Fresnel directly like I do now and I am not worry with 40 recurse (bounce lights GI also) to get black glass...(called: fail recurse)

So will all the native LW materials in K3 still work or will it be some kind of symbiosis based on some basic functions of the LW shaders and the K3 shaders?
How will the shaders be assigned in LW 2019 given that there are no tabs on the shaders?

K3 + LW15 no problems except: shaders and third part Node plugins...we do not support them (poor documentation, bad codes and bugs...waste of time)
K3 + LW19 same like above + whole new main shader system (Delta, Dielectric, BSDF, carpaint, etc)

Tab for K3 shader is under Motion Options (press "m" on object):

I thought it was a temporary solution. Are there any plans for Gregor to transfer his shaders to the material class (node based)?

Yes. Probably he will create K3shaderNode. Now for him is easier to develop additional`s.

Screen shot is from LW19.
LW15 has standard shader option.
