As the subject states this keeps on destroying my render, whenever i add some refraction to my glass surfaces in exterior work it starts to light up, whats up with that?

Hey, care to show example so we can see what you mean? Maybe refraction makes the surrounding "reflections" more heavier and turns them someway...

Re: refraction causing glass to appear luminous
I find refraction blurring does this unless the setting is very, very low (1-2%).

Re: refraction causing glass to appear luminous
it isnt refraction blurring, just a plain glass surface. It shows up as white in the refraction buffer, reflection buffer is normal. Seems the only way to get rid of it is to remove any refraction going on in the surface. Also notice the odd reflection in the window glass (car seems different color).

Are you sure that you set the diffuse to a low value?
