getting lumi polys to spread soft light

Hi Guys -

Yet another question from me, I have been struggling to get a good light spread on backlit elements, soffits, etc.

Here is an example, the back of the logo panel has a luminosity disc (modeled in a separate layer, with 400% luma and 0 diff.)

I cannot get it to "spread" light behind the logo, I seem to have these issues all the time, I know its cockpit error though

any ideas?

PS: I cannot seem to attach the file? says I reached the 1mb quota? (file is 28kb)
