Hi, I have been using 1.7 and testing some of the lumi poly scenarios.
I was have problems with noise before but after talking to a few people I decided to wait till 1.7 as it was meant to be better. The results are better but was wondering if there are settings that perhaps I am overlooking.
Here is the image below and as you can see in the background behind the glass window the thin strip light on the ceiling is creating some noise. Is there a way round this with the settings.
I default just put everything up to the preset of high, long render time but was wanting to see if it could fix it.
Thanks

Hmm.. are those lights geometry or area lights?
Check this thread which discusses this problem...

						THanks jure
Have followed that post, plus got some help from blackb1rd. His settings have seem to have fixed the problem.
I have found another problem with transparecny, It seems that transparecny/translucency now works differently. Here are a few images to show what I mean.
Sorry about the quality of FPrime but it was taking ages
