For that res. it is OK (good blurr, AA, Gi) - similar to V-ray... Of coarse I can twice faster but I will lost good contact shadow. Flower is without QMC shader (so this is big part of time render)geo_n wrote:can you post scene johny. 30 min on 8core seems long for a simple room.
btw. for normal res. 800/600 is only 7 min....

Wow, thanks, and what have you changed to get such result?Johny_quick wrote:My version 30 min. Please remove shaders from floor just put desaturate 100%.
You light from the window is nice and the behaviour of light on the left corner seems more real than my attempts.
Really curious to see what settings you used to get that soft / nice light...

Thanks everybody, I see that everybody has its own habits and gets different results.
@Johnny: don't you mind sharing the improvments you made to get such results? to me it's a hassle... I even look at other render engines documentation, because they explain pretty well the different principles (yafaray, Vray).
I don't understand how you get so much light around the window and nice / soft shadows + contact shadows.
Here is what I got so far:

Alright, sound good!
I'm really excited about it and I also hope that the explanations will worth the price!
