Re: Lumi noise
Hello Jure,
The lumi are calculated indirect in render settings.
Surface luminousity is 500000
krayshader lum number 500
compute as indirect in shader is off
geometry is one large poly which is the ceiling and chroom ring with lumi poly inside only, no glass on top.

Lumi noise
Hello people, I'm posting this, the job is done the client was happy but i wasnt. What bugs me is the noise the lumi's are causing. I upped the photons through the roof but it just comes out horrible. Office_Closeup.jpg detail.jpg To improve what is the best way to handle a situation like this? Any ...

@Salvatore:
How to achieve sunshadows that are transparant like yours? is your sun an area light with a high photonpower setting? My shadows are always close to complete black.
Cheers

Re: Cummunity Room in apartment building.
i like the amount of light in the picture. Some crits: i cant seem to figure out the time of day (without the view outside i would say its a nightshot, because its rather evenly lit) the two round footbenches/tables are exactly alike (!), you should either rotate one of them or set world coordinates...

Re: refraction causing glass to appear luminous
it isnt refraction blurring, just a plain glass surface. It shows up as white in the refraction buffer, reflection buffer is normal. Seems the only way to get rid of it is to remove any refraction going on in the surface. Also notice the odd reflection in the window glass (car seems different color).

refraction causing glass to appear luminous
As the subject states this keeps on destroying my render, whenever i add some refraction to my glass surfaces in exterior work it starts to light up, whats up with that?

Re: wip giving skyportals a go
looks ok at this resolution, really is a bit small. Good compositon. maybe add a background and some reflection to the wood. If i look at both images the left looks realictic, and going to the right it starts to looking dull, its not a lacking in composition but the loss of highlights (or reflection...
