				hi
i was playing around with the ple version of xstream and accidently hit "kray frame" button... and to my surprise kray started a render with the vue/xstream data(ecosystem trees, sky, etc) My current machine is a little slow to try a heavy scene but it seems to see vue elements in transparency and reflections..has anyone else been toying around with them? care to share any insights?

				Good to hear that.
Volumetrics work with KRay although there's still some bugs there that will be addressed in near future.

I don't have much use for volumetrics right now, but it would be nice to have a play with them. How do I get Kray to render them? Switching on volumetrics in the render globals panel and setting my sun light to volumetric doesn't seem to work (LW 9.3, Kray OB5). Is there a Kray command you have to supply as well?

Phil, you are referring to volumetric lights, while katsuy and jure are refurring to volumetric objects.

				Ah, righto. Fair enough!
Come to think of it, I do have uses for hypervoxels...

Just done some tests with HD instance. It looks like at first it works but then I did some test with some textured objects. KRay fails to render the textures on these objects.
Shame really as HD instance offers better cloning options than KRay.

Yes we are aware of that. We'll be fixing this bugs in one of future OB's...

Thanks for the hard work guys!

PS Just rendering a test of my half-black animation... looking good so far!
