				Hi Guys -
I came across this article about BNR supporting Kray , (it is listed there)
http://www.creative-3d.net/newsviewer.cfm?NewsID=1328
Is this proven? has anyone got it working yet? (and does this imply network rendering is coming soon)
Thanks !
Matt -

That's just the old stand-alone command line version of Kray, unfortunately. The LW plugin does NOT work with BNR at this time.

This is most interesting especially for folks doing automotive renders as you can dial in specific surface configurations of automotive finishes and get spot on results. That and the fact that the resources are becoming vastly affordable.... Great stuff ahead!
I understand that Kray does seem to be tailored for Arch-Vis but having this capability would be a very big draw for people doing Automotive visualisations...
Cheers

It's not really tailored for arch viz, it's just that arch viz has a bigger need of clean fast GI with a lot bounces than other cg fields, which is something kray excels at.

				Well there you have it!....

It's a good time to be doing 3D and it looks like it will only get better!
Cheers

				kray rendering on BNR farm

since VirtualRender and kray can speak to eachother, BNR can now control kray on a renderfarm. Works for rendering of stills on several computers but also for distributed rendering of animations.
Great breakthrough for 3rd party render engine support inside LightWave. No dirty "LWdemo" hack like with WSN/FPrime. Thanks to Sensei and Grzegorz!
