Now that everyone of us uses planes as emitters for lights in windows, I have a simple question :
Do we have to let these in pure white or is it better to add a value of color, blue, beige or yellow?

Add some color to get different mood... Pure white looks unappealing i think.

Or Use Jovian picker to get correct Kelvin temperature for light!

Thanks to Jure for the supersonic answers (as usual)
Et merci à Khan pour ce plugin assez spectaculaire que je ne connaissais pas.

				Yes, Il est génial!
I recommand everybody to use Jovian picker for your colors.
You can have the colors on linear, gamma, and have kelvin temperature.
+ use real lights parameters for a more realistic look

Hope it helps

				Hi guys and girls,
I'm just learning Kray so I'm curious: what do you mean by light planes - if as you everyone is using 'em I want to know!
Are these:
1) LightPortal surfaces
2) Area lights
3) Luminous Polygons.
Also, why is everyone using these? I'm having a hard time seeing what technique to use, to be honest.
Cheers,
Thomas

				Good answer is 3.
Whether you use Kray or LightWave as your render engine, it's always good to keep this technique as an option, since it's very often
faster than area lights with radiosity (note light planes only work with radiosity).
Apparently, there's a small bug in the current version of Kray that makes area lights a better choice, but it will change for sure.

I'll get to work using this technique. No lights huh? How about that
