Crash on 2500 X 1550, no problem on 1250 x 775.
Scene polygons : 1218594

Show info: RAM, system x32 or x64,

check NODEs (turn OFF all)
hide all layers (turn ON only one)

Yes.this happen repeatably on that machine.
When i use another machine to render, is no problem.

Processes : Inter E6850
Ram : 2GB
Graphic Card :Radeon HD 3800


No Crash
OS : Window XP sp2 32bits
Processes : Inter E4500
Ram : 2GB
Graphic Card :Geforce 7800 GT

I thing low memmory do this (I know second computer have same, but difference software get difference memmory)
When You start on the FIRST check how much free memmory You have. If is very close 0 then You must buy RAM (2 giga RAM is too low for renders)

Is the Radeon HD 3800 the problem!!
I had last year this problem!
i change the grafic card in NVIDIA 1700 and all ok

Maybe no Radeon but bad drivers?

I've just posted a thread about this too, it's been happening to me, usually while adjusting settings and doing test renders. I'm not sure what makes it crash, must be a certain combination, but it's really random and hard to track down the exact steps.

This happens sometimes when GLSL shaders is on for different gfx cards.
