another test with kray and only hdri (no lw light)
model in rhinoceros
render LW 9.6 + Kray 2.0 RC3
time render 2400*1800 px 8min on quad core 2.66

I don`t see HDRi.....
You have bad GI and contrast, materials, reflection.
Please rerender with another map HDRi and better setup GI (first check with QMC)
Maybe You share this on forum?

where is QMC?
the hdri is on imageworld!!!
the model is not perfect, is an old model of one year old...

QMC : just uncheck CHACHE IRRADIANCE in first TAB FG 800/0

with this system the render time is very very slow

becouse this is without interpolation....
Try oversampling.
