Sorry guys, I put Rhino in for James and it looks like it reset the poll. :/
On the bright side, maybe it'll give you a chance to rethink and cast your ballot. ha ha

Re: slow render times ...need help
But just out of curiosity, what are the benefits of LW lights if Lumi Polys are soooo much faster? What's the pros and cons of each? ....As I said before LW lights are just "emulate" in Kray and second LW lights are physical sources of light (We do not need interpolation for them, only we...

Re: any news from kray world?
Wow - Solidrocks, although much simpler than the usual UI, is still quite complicated! There are some things Kray could learn from it though. Automatic white balance, realtime tonemapping are just two. Thanks for the info! I dont know how else solidrocks could be simpler besides fprime. Its very ea...

Re: slow render times ...need help
HUGE improvement in render times!!! Dropped to just over a minute! Thanks so much fellas. It's definitely blotchy compared to the previous renders, but I'll search the forums on how to clean that up. I'm trying to model more in modo, but dang I'm still enjoying Kray. Big thanks again guys. you need ...

slow render times ...need help
I've got an interior scene that seems to me to be rendering very slow for Kray. And I've got to do an animation for the project. The render times are around 13+ min at a 720 x 400 resolution on a 3.3GHz six-core machine. I've tried using luminous polys to light it (you can see those in the attached ...

Re: any news from kray world?
Sketchup is great! I've seen many many great renders from users the same quality as kray forum users. If I were to target market it would be 3dmax, maya, c4d in that order. But sketchup would be 2nd if there wasn't already kray for it. Targetting markets like modo, xsi, houdini would be a waste. Gr...

LW v11 instancing
Not that I'm planning to upgrade to v11, yet, but with the announcement of native instancing I'm wondering how this will work with Kray. Will Kray see see it?

Re: Kray for other 3D packages?
My point was we need kray to go mainstream, 3dmax is where the cashflow is. Octane, like vray will make huge development in the coming months with their move. They already have expanded from the original two developers. Now I think they're more than 5 people. Kray can't only stay in lw, i...

Kray for other 3D packages?
Personally owning also Maya and more recently modo, while also not being real happy with the way NT is doing with LW, I'm just curious if there are other Kray users who would also like to see Kray on other platforms and if so which one(s).
For me, it would be either modo or Maya.
